UPDATE 13:15 AEDT 15 February: Allowing Jacqui Lambie to call BS on Yassmin’s blatant falsehoods was ‘islamophobic’, according to a petition at change.org. This is because the filthy kuffar aren’t supposed to read about Islam from source texts and actually understand it for themselves, but are supposed to just swallow the Religion of Peace™ taqiyya/kitman without question.
It’s perfectly acceptable for a Muslim to lie in order to advance Islam (war is deceit, after all), so it’s hardly surprising that Yassmin Abdel-Magied tells the most appalling untruths about the status of women on ABC’s obnoxious Q&A, claiming Islam to be ‘feminist’.
Either she is lying or she is hopelessly ignorant about the true nature of the sharia – I’m sure she has a copy of Reliance of the Traveller (the standard exposition of sharia law) kicking around the house somewhere. Maybe she should blow the dust off it and refresh her memory a bit.
I got mine off the internet and what fascinating reading it is, containing gems like this one:
M6.10 It is unlawful for a free man to marry more than four women. It is fitter to confine oneself to just one.
Any more than four is just excessive. Menstrual or menstruation is mentioned over SIXTY times, because it’s regarded as unclean, and women are not permitted to recite the Koran or to go to mosque when menstruating – how liberating that must be. And one of the most ‘progressive’ laws must be this:
O24.9 If testimony concerns fornication or sodomy, then it requires four male witnesses who testify, in the case of fornication, that they have seen the offender insert the head of his penis into her vagina.
Like that would ever happen…
You can bet the Q&A apologists for Islam have never even bothered to research this, because they prefer to be kept in the dark believing that Islam is a Religion of Peace™ and now a Religion of Feminism™, rather than confront the harsh reality.
Islam is, and has been since the 7th century, patriarchal, misogynist and discriminatory towards women, and anyone who claims otherwise is either a liar or a fool.
After a knife attack at a school in Sweden, the media (in particular the ABC) wasted little time in ascribing the motives to ‘far-right extremism’, despite there being scant evidence at this point to back it up.
Compare and contrast with the vicious shooting of Curtis Cheng, carried out by a black-robed Muslim who had just left a mosque after Friday prayers and shot an infidel in the head whilst shouting ‘Allahu akbar’, where avoiding mentioning ‘Muslim’ and ‘Islam’ and called the act ‘political’ and then scratched their heads for days, desperately searching for a motive that was staring them in the face, whilst cautioning everyone not to rush to snap judgments.
There’s media balance for you – what a joke.
I don’t know if the rest of the Australian population is as thoroughly sick of the trivia that currently makes up the news as I am, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
Standards have dropped so low that everything is reduced to either rank hypocrisy or victimhood, and trivial stories of this kind fill up the news reports for weeks on end. All the while, Iran is planning to obliterate the West with nuclear weapons (which Obama has just green-lit), Russia is flexing its expansionist muscles again, and the US has disappeared as the beacon of freedom it has been in the world for the past 200-odd years, leading to a period of world instability the likes of which hasn’t been seen for generations.
But here in Australia, all we care about is the little things, and glad the media are getting the priorities right! [Read more…]
The ABC’s celebrations regarding the success of the Labor conference on the 7pm news this evening were utterly nauseating. Juanita Phillips was smiling so hard when she announced the breakthrough deal on gay marriage I thought her face might actually crack and fall off.
The ABC hates the Coalition, Tony Abbott and all of his policies with a visceral passion. It also hates Australia enough to give a terrorist a platform to speak on Q & A last night.
I wonder what it will take before the government actually requires the ABC to comply with the obligations of impartiality in its charter. Maybe a live beheading on Insiders? [Read more…]
No bias there, no siree!
You remember all the times that Gillard and Rudd were called ‘tits’ on the ABC’s main political debate show, don’t you? No? I’m sure they have been – it’s called balance, right? Or perhaps Bob Hawke or Paul Keating were called ‘tits’ perhaps?
The reaction from the audience made up of inner-city, yoghurt-knitting, sandal-wearing, latte-sipping, lefty trendoids says it all, really.
It took until the very end of Monday night’s Q&A for the panel to get to the crux of recent national debate. Tony Abbott: Yes or No?
“I think he’s a tit,” was the five-word summation from Miriam Margolyes, the call-a-spade-a-spade actress whose response to the audience question was the shortest, but by far the most memorable, of those offered by the panel as host Tony Jones passed the matter around for consideration.
Prime ministerial colleague and supporter Josh Frydenberg, who wisely noted that “I’m in a minority here”, waxed lyrical about his boss’ decency and qualities as a father, husband and upstanding member of his local community. (source)
Of course you’re in a minority. It’s always 4-2 or 5-1 with Tony Jones siding with the Left. Why on earth do conservatives ever go on Q&A? Surely roasting their privates over a bonfire would be more pleasant. Don’t forget, ABC = Anything to Belittle Conservatives.
And Margolyes didn’t stop there – she threw her own religion under a bus by claiming that Muslim aggression is due to the ‘actions of the state of Israel’ and ‘the appalling treatment [by] the Israelis towards the Palestinians’. Hmm, as a member of the gay community, Miriam, which is the only country in the Middle East that you’d feel safe, hmm? [Crickets chirping]
If Abbott’s a tit, you’re just a nauseating caricature of a lefty luvvie. Go home.
In an attempt to deflect attention from the less palatable verses in the Qur’an, ‘their’ ABC has published an ‘infidel’s guide’ to sharia law, which demonstrates such unbelievable naiveté that it left me with my jaw on the floor.
Here are a few select quotes from the chosen Snake Oil salesman:
Associate Professor at the Griffith University School of Humanities Mohamad Abdalla said sharia simply meant “the road to the watering place” in Arabic, and referred to the revealed guidance and directives given by Allah.
See? Nothing to worry about! Just unicorns and rainbows*. Move along, infidel!
How could I have been so stupid not to have realised this? This is so much easier than having to deal with IS or Boko Haram or any of the other violent jihad groups – we just blame ourselves and the problem will go away.
Malcolm Farr on Insiders yesterday (h/t WoJ):
So, Malc, let me get this straight. By opposing Jihad and exposing acts of barbaric violence carried out in the name of Islam, we are helping to recruit extremists? But if we pretend it isn’t there, perhaps it will just go away? Wow, just wow.
