US Election challenge: Democrats too dumb to see the irony

Short memory

Short memory

They really are as dumb as a box of frogs, aren’t they?

Remember the outrage from the Left, THE OUTRAGE I TELL YOU, when Donald Trump reserved the right to challenge the election result? The Democrats clearly didn’t, because they have forgotten already.

Here’s the New York Slimes in full outrage mode:

Every losing presidential candidate in modern times has accepted the will of the voters, even in extraordinarily close races, such as when John F. Kennedy narrowly defeated Richard M. Nixon in 1960 and George W. Bush beat Al Gore in Florida to win the presidency in 2000.

Mr. Trump insisted, without offering evidence, that the general election has been rigged against him, and he twice refused to say that he would accept its result.

“I will look at it at the time,” Mr. Trump said. “I will keep you in suspense.”

“That’s horrifying,” Mrs. Clinton replied. “Let’s be clear about what he is saying and what that means. He is denigrating — he is talking down our democracy. And I am appalled that someone who is the nominee of one of our two major parties would take that position.”

Mrs. Clinton then ticked off the number of times he had deemed a system rigged when he suffered a setback, noting he had even called the Emmy Awards fixed when his show, “The Apprentice,’’ was passed over.

“It’s funny, but it’s also really troubling,” she said. “That is not the way our democracy works.”

Oh, maybe it is:

A growing number of academics and activists are calling for US authorities to fully audit or recount the 2016 presidential election vote in key battleground states, in case the results could have been skewed by foreign hackers.

The loose coalition, which is urging Hillary Clinton’s campaign to join its fight, is preparing to deliver a report detailing its concerns to congressional committee chairs and federal authorities early next week, according to two people involved.

The document, which is currently 18 pages long, focuses on concerns about the results in the states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

“I’m interested in verifying the vote,” said Dr Barbara Simons, an adviser to the US election assistance commission and expert on electronic voting. “We need to have post-election ballot audits.” Simons is understood to have contributed analysis to the effort but declined to characterise the precise nature of her involvement.

Just to be clear, if Hillary had won, and Trump had suggested these things, the mainstream media would have gone into a Chernobyl-style nuclear meltdown. But because Hillary lost, it’s all just fine!

  1. Just shows how plainly biased the media was against
Trump. With all the cards stacked against Trump the media and it’s complicity in one of the dirtiest election campaigns run by Clinton and her media luvvies Trump resoundingly won. Now the whining leftoids are attempting to railroad the election into their favour.

  2. And since you posted this, the recounts have been in Trump’s favour anyway.
What an accomplishment: to lose an election twice, and come out looking even more soiled and untrustworthy than you already were.
