Interfaith dialogue: soldier shot dead in Ottawa

Cultural enrichment

Cultural enrichment

Just because he’s wearing a keffiyeh and the photo was tweeted by an Islamic State account doesn’t mean anything. He was probably just taking part in some multicultural enrichment program.

Anyway, random shootings of military personnel in broad daylight like this happen all the time, and usually by right-wing extremists. And even if he were a Muslim, he was driven to it by the alienation and targeting that he suffered living in such an oppressive country like Canada.

Either that, or he was merely retaliating against the Imperialist crusaders who are ‘at war with Islam’ for daring to try to stop the spread of a 1400 year old, hateful, barbaric ideology through violent means, and for having the audacity to seek to prevent the total destruction of Western democracies and culture.

And if you say otherwise, you are an Islamophobic, racist bigot.

THE Canadian capital Ottawa has gone into lockdown after a gunman with a scarf over his face shot to death a Canadian soldier standing guard at the nation’s war memorial on Wednesday, then stormed Parliament in a hail of gunfire before he was killed by the sergeant-at-arm.

The attack immediately raised the spectre of terrorism, with Canada already on alert because of a deadly hit-and-run earlier in the week against two Canadian soldiers by Muslim convert Martin Rouleau-Couture.

Local media identified the suspected gunman as Michael Zehef-Bibeau, a 32-year-old who was reportedly known to Canadian authorities.

The Globe and Mail reported that he was recently designated a “high-risk traveller” by the Canadian government and that his passport had been seized, as had that of Rouleau-Couture.

The shot soldier was named as Corporal Nathan Cirillo, a 34-year-old member of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. He was training to join the Canada Border Services Agency, according to the Globe anad Mail newspaper. (source)

  1. Well said…it amazes me that the people know what’s going on long before the leaders acknowledge it!
