Useful Idiot #1: Andrew Leigh

The abandoning of our hard-won freedoms has been aided and abetted by “useful idiots”, primarily from the Left, but often from all sides of politics, who are in a state of perpetual denial about the issues that Australia and other Western democracies face.

Whether this is public denial combined with private acknowledgement, it’s difficult to tell. But whatever it is, it prevents us from addressing the issue properly (or even discussing it freely).

Stand up, Andrew Leigh, opposition assistant treasury spokesman and inaugural winner of the Useful Idiot gong, quoted in The Australian yesterday:

Opposition assistant treasury spokesman Andrew Leigh said the image [of Khaled Sharrouf’s son] was “horrendous” and noted “extremism comes in all sorts of guises”.

“We need to celebrate the Australian Muslim community to recognise that there are many peoples of different faiths in the world and extremism comes in all sorts of guises. The Oklahoma bombing was carried out by a Christian.”

One incident, which had nothing to do with Christianity, compared to 23,000-plus in the name of Islam since 9/11. Pretty much the same!

  1. The same lunacy was repeated by Richard Marles on the Bolt Report on Sunday. The delusion that Timothy MacVeigh somehow committed and atrocity in the name of Christendom, or for that matter that MacVeigh was indeed a “Christian”, is proof positive that Marles and Leigh are idiots.
Miranda Devine sums it up brilliantly

  2. Mike Canberra says:

Damn why do live in this idiots electorate I voted against him but it was useless. His majority is 27% probably the safest in the country. He can say anything he likes he just will not lose his seat damn again.

  3. I would suggest “Dangerous Idiots” as a better description,think about it.<:o)
